This two-layer design provides both note and modulation sequencers and is great for creating specific note patterns or finessing evolving textures. However, our favourite enhancement is the integrated Sequencer. Throw in two additional complex LFOs, three effects and extensive keyboard response assignments using Velocity, Aftertouch, Mod Wheel and Keyboard Tracking and Jup-8 V4 can easily take you to new tonal pastures. This includes more authentic filter emulations, as well as core engine enhancements such as Unison Detune and adjustable Voice Dispersion. Based on the Jupiter-8, this long-running Arturia instrument has been rebuilt from the ground up with a brand new sound engine. It’s an excellent emulation that really captures the essence of the original.Īlso new in V Collection 8 is Jup-8 V4. It also has plenty of contemporary presets including the rave-ready Dark Triad, ethereal Voix Uno and arpeggiator based Dub Sensation. ![]() Chorus Noise adds audio hiss when the chorus is in use.Īs you might expect, Jun-6 V delivers solid basses (Velo Bass and Under The Basement) and pads of various timbres (Poly Unison Pad is a particular favourite). The three options (good, average and poor) let you choose how much analogue drift is emulated. Voice Calibration emulates the subtle variations that can exist from voice to voice on a hardware Juno. This opens a floating window with a variety of handy voicing presets (octave, fifth, suspended and so on).įinally, for analogue completeness, there are two further features. If you like to use chord memories, Jun-6 V’s is accessed via the Chord Select button. The LFO has six waveforms including sample-and-hold and both envelope and LFO have two assignable destinations with many parameter options. The second envelope and LFO are both far more flexible than the original ones. There are of course further presets (around 180 in total) and many of these take advantage of options not found on the original hardware.Įnhanced parameters are accessed via the Advanced panel and here you’ll find a second ADSR envelope, a second LFO, Delay and Reverb effects, and flexible mod wheel, velocity and aftertouch assignments. Jun-6V does an excellent emulation job and a quick look at the presets reveals a bunch of numbered patches to match the original Juno-60 sound set. Admittedly, the toy-like colour scheme and slider controls may not be to everyone’s taste, but the sound is killer. Based on Roland’s ever-popular Juno-6 and Juno-60, these are synths whose simple architecture make them easy to program. Without question, V Collection 8’s hottest addition is Jun-6 V. The Jun-6 V is based on Roland’s Juno-6 and Juno-60, easy to program, and is undeniably awesome. Additional multiple target parameters can be added and the existing routings removed if you wish, and a handy multipoint curve lets you specify precisely how the macro behaves within its high and low limits. Macro provides access to settings for the four pre-assigned Macro controls.Īs mentioned, these are standardised across all instruments, but the parameters controlled vary considerably and this is where you can edit them. If you’re using an Arturia controller it’s also where you can specify which one. The MIDI tab accesses MIDI CC mapping and incorporates parameter ranges as well as save and recall of specific mapping configurations. This panel has four tabs – Settings, MIDI, Macro and Tutorial. The Macro controls provide standardised broad brush editing across all instruments (Brightness, Timbre, Time and Movement), although note that the parameters they control vary.Īll instruments now have a foldout side panel, which is accessed on the right-hand side using the gear icon. The refresh brings with it a new preset browser, streamlined in-app tutorials, and four Macro knobs in the bottom right of the plugin window. And whether you’re a new purchaser or existing user, Arturia’s Software Centre app handles the download, install and authorisation process. To coincide with the release, all instruments have received a refresh. ![]() The CMI V replicates the Fairlight CMI digital sampler. ![]() ![]() One app, limitless publishing opportunities.ĭownload MarsEdit today, and see what all the hype is about. Any wit and subtlety that the other two authors created, she destroyed. Also, the last chapter tied up all three of the stories and she massacred all of the characters from the other stories. The entire thing was, admittedly, about the fact that she was a self-absorbed whiny brat and everyone was calling her on that fact, but her supposed transformation was utterly ridiculous. Her main character was a self-absorbed whiny brat and I was stuck in her first person pea brained narrative for the entire thing. Lauren Myracle's was so terrible and I hated every minute. I usually love him, so I was disappointed. Also, the cheerleader thing got really old, really fast. They attempted to reach Buffy-level snark and sarcasm and really didn't make it. Zendaya is freakin awesome, and I adore Zendaya, but KC Undercover is the worst show EVER.Ĭomparing KC to some characters who some people might think are similar, let’s start with Trish from Austin and Ally. I want to slap her right in the face every time she says something. She’s condescending, mean, self-centered, narcissistic, rude, and only cares about what benefits her and thinks that being a spy gives her the right to treat other people like she’s better than them. The worst character in KC Undercover is KC. Marisa is OK but she’s annoying as hell though) He’s genuinely sweet and smart and he didn’t deserve to be treated the way he was by his own family. I already genuinely hate KC Undercover, and all the characters are unpleasant and unlikable (except for Ernie. One Disney Channel character who I find completely insufferable is KC Cooper from KC Undercover. ![]() So reading or using the study book without the videos would not be advantageous at all, in my humble opinion. The accompanying study guide just went back over what was explained extensively in the video. Watched the weekly one hour videos entailed most of the study. I've never had scripture presented in this manner and it was extremely eye-opening! I will say, that this is a Bible study that is heavily video-based. Vastly different from the Western way in which we approach reading the Bible (form versus function, what this scripture shows me versus what does it teach me about God, choosing to look at the details of how versus Why is this in the Bible, etc). This book tries to undo all of our western ways of learning and teach and guide us into looking at the pages of the Bible through a Middle Eastern lens, and through a first century lens. Through snapshots from the Gospel of Luke, join Kristi. ![]() The Land-the place Jesus walked and taught during His earthly ministry-is often referred to as the fifth Gospel. I've learned Hebrew words (yeshiva, mishpat, tzedekah, etc), the meaning of phrases like take my yoke (not a physical device for oxen, instead, a rabbi's teaching or way of learning) and so many other things. In our Bibles, we have four Gospels describing Jesuss time on earth: Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John. We learned so much about first century Jews, especially women, and the settings and context for so many of Jesus's interactions with women from the pages of Scripture. But I wouldn't let that keep you from this!Ī totally different type of Bible study that our ladies group at church embarked on this fall. However, the book would be difficult to read without the extra context of the videos and even then, it doesn't really correspond, making it easier to listen and not take notes until later. Use the sample schedule below or customize the schedule to your preference Host Kristi McLellands Prepare Him Room virtual event at your church to celebrate the birth of Jesus this Christmas season. I have been recommending this "feast" to everyone I know! It has made a shift in my approach to scripture instead of thinking about what does this passage teach me about me, I am learning to view it as what it teaches me about God first, because the Bible is ultimately God's story about who he is and what he has done. The full event will be available on demand starting at 9:00 AM on Friday, December 1, 2023. Throughout the videos, she often asks "Who loves Jesus right now?" And you will find yourself adamantly yelling at the screen, "Me! I love Jesus right now!" She details how Jesus restored justice and righteousness to women in the 1st century world and I cannot stop marveling at all the little details I now get to tuck in to my previous Bible knowledge. It added such a significant layer of depth that I have been missing since I am lacking in understanding of Jewish culture, being an American Christian. ![]() After going through this study, I am absolutely in the 'yes' camp. I have heard it debated for many, many years about whether or not we need to factor culture into our reading of the Bible. The content in this book, or as our presenter/author calls it, "a feast," was so powerful and perspective shifting. |
